That must be the slowest grade one mile in the history of racing

The time is a new class record. Faster than one stripe last year who was the class record holder

Look there were some upsets today ,but that's the nature of racing ,I think Cape racing did a good job .The only Bolz up was the lack of pictures for the 7th race ( maybe someone accidently knocked camera man over

)

Today was very evidently part of Double Grand Slams prep. Did Mr. Z. Bloch not say after race 1 that they have the doubles loaded onto Rainbow Lorikeet? It's such a pity they punted the wrong one and told the public so in the interview on the first race of the day.

Interesting results - I never thought that an PE sprinter would be good enough to win - but that being said on times he only beat the 2-yr-old filly by less than 2 lengths - so I'm not sure who put together the field for the Cape Flying, but imo there was not many who were 1000m specialists - and once BBC ran below par, there were not that many that could win the premier sprint over 1000 ....
