Strange that we can still play an international test in Witbank against Italy no 130 year history or anything.

I don't think Fifa recognise the test as a Major Sporting event unlike the July !

They also played a test against France a week before also during the WC. I think that the fundamental difference is that the WC round robins were being played and the July would have fallen into the quarter finals 03 July 2010.
It is not a city issue as Durban is not hosting a quarter final but Fifa would not want any other event to detract from the Quarter Finals. There are no Bok Rugby fixtures in SA until 21 August 2010.
Question is; did the operator get paid to move the event? I certainly would have insisted on payment!
