Shocked to see only 5 runners in the Work Riders race

They used to be that well supported that we had max fields as there was not enough jockeys

Please note that Vaal race course received 150.5mm of rainfall in the last 7 days, and it is still raining. Both the Main and Classic tracks are under water. Turffontein tracks are also under water due to continuous rainfall. Based on current rainfall taking place in the Highveld, a decision has been made to abandoned tomorrow's Vaal race meeting ( 24 March 2026).
