There's a problem in general for me when tracks are overbiased. (My opinion)
When horses cannot run on from behind, then there is an issue. Same thing with the polytracks...

Pace is proving me wrong... Apologies to some from me...

This south african rule where the jocks move over take up the other horses running and dont get penalized, is becoming more souring than the MR system. Jockey moves in cuts off a horse about to make a run then moves away. Wrong

Stipes didn’t feel it was as of much consequence as Grant did:RACE 8 : LUCKY FISH CAPE DERBY (Grade 1) : 2000m : Ref 385

b) STAR MAJOR (L Mxothwa) and VIVA’S LIBERTE (C Zackey) pulled hard in the early and middle stages.
c) Leaving the 1200m IGNITE THE FIRE (JP van der Merwe), which pulled hard in the early stages, took charge of its Rider and raced around runners and into a prominent position. Thereafter, IGNITE THE FIRE (JP van der Merwe) commenced to hang out and gave ground to the field in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d) At the 300m NOTE TO SELF (G van Niekerk) was directed outward when unable to secure a clear run between the inside running rail and WISH LIST (R Fourie).

Stipes report Grade 1.

Nothing about the interference by Fourie on the runner up.

Rubbish once again

Van Niekerk said it had been some time since he had ridden a horse of this quality and indicated that he would have just about won it, had Fourie not ‘cut me off’ at around the 400m. The replay shows Fourie glancing back as he shifts Wish List towards the rail at that point. The Stipes report will tell us more.
