World-beater, Ka Ying Rising

Ka Ying Rising showed again that he is a world beater when romping in the G1
Queen’s Silver Jubilee Cup earning a stellar speed score of 124! His virtues have been extolled many times before – for a true speed figure fanatic this sort of number is about as rare as sighting Halley’s Comet.
He is practically impossible to beat as he has such a high cruising rate, plus a great temperament combined with the ability to settle when racing handy – and then turn on the missile boosters at the top of the straight to destroy his rivals. He then merely freewheels in the last 100m, and it remains a wonder how fast he might go if fully extended.
Helios Express is a high class G1 sprinter s/s 118 yet he was again left trailing in a discouraged 3.75 length adrift of David Hayes’ remarkable thoroughbred.
In local racing action,
Green Diamond s/s 99 impressed at Turffontein in the
Bauhinia Stakes. Craig Zackey said she now feels great – this after a spell where she got sick, then underperformed when taken down to the Cape. But her earlier juvenile form showed she has plenty of natural talent. Trainer, Sean Tarry has got her right again and she will be a tough opponent in upcoming starts.

World Justice in the
National Currency Sprint (G3), a muddy, hard- to- rate event with the horses widely spaced out down the straight track. Third placed Pop Chart might have gone even closer to winning if he’d got a clean break at the start.

She’sgotclass s/s 100 continued the excellent form of Des Mclachlan and Grant van Niekerk. Earlier the trainer/jockey duo were successful with market springer,
District Master s/s 90 (punted from 10/1 into 28/10) and some big multiples were landed when the favored daughter of
Querari kept on strongly to stay ahead of a pursuing,
Dame of Trix s/s 98.
Chasingtherainbow was another to give the bookies a “klap.” Luyulo Mxothwa said that he is not easy to ride as he hangs out but cleverly did not fight him and instead let him make a natural move towards the standside rail.
