I'm guessing that Wehaveasituation in race 2 will go close - I know AF mentioned that he does not see properly out 2000, and takes the ride on Note to Self but I am guessing that AF will be wrong and at the weights make Wehaveasituation the one to beat

Think Wehaveasituation has it all to do at the weights and being a mare.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Re: WORLD SPORTS BETTING CAPE TOWN MET DAY- DISCUSS HERE
2 months 2 weeks agoWell let me teach you about handicapping - this is a fixed-weight race - look at the Computaform 'Best Weighted' column - and there we have Wehaveasituation on top - and the Snaith horses are not in the top 5 - this does not mean that it is cast in stone - of course both Eric Liddell and Note ot Self can improve (and what 'they' are saying that it might be the case) - but I believe in weights and I would rather take a chance at the oddsI'm guessing that Wehaveasituation in race 2 will go close - I know AF mentioned that he does not see properly out 2000, and takes the ride on Note to Self but I am guessing that AF will be wrong and at the weights make Wehaveasituation the one to beat

It seems every horse I fancy today is trained by James Crawford.... or ridden by Muzi. So between that stable and me we are going to clean up or go sell our bodies at the harbor tonight ....eishhhh

Race 2 value plc bets 4 & 6
race 4 keep an eye on 7 & 13 as value plc bets. Both jocks put their hands down late in their last runs.. better than their finishing positions
Race 5 value plc bets 8 & 9
Race 6 value plc bets 6 & 12
Race 7 value 11 & 14
All disclaimers apply 😁
Just my study of value for swingers & qtet players
All the best today Clanners 👍

Justin Snaith comments for the day:
_Race 1_
- Champagne Castle goes for three in a row but must track over from a wide draw (12). The horse to beat and flying back home.
- Marseilles won against weak company last time out but is likely to improve on that effort. There is more to come from this colt over the next few months. One to follow.
- Querari Dancer is flying at home and beat several fancied runners in this field on debut. Serious claims at 7-1. She’s the wrong price and worth an each-way bet.
- Rabdan needs a mile and will improve with time and distance. A top-half finish would be pleasing.
_Race 2_
- Arbitration will enjoy the extra trip and is rarely out the money.
- Eric Liddell is better than his form suggests and is ready to take off. A big run expected with Richard Fourie aboard.
- Note To Self is a top colt and potentially a Gr1 Daily News candidate. He looks the one to beat from a good draw.
_Race 3_
- Ahead Of The Facts is better than his last run (went wide). Big runner despite rise in weight, with Richard Fourie aboard.
- Magic Verse stayed on strongly last time out and is 1kg better off with Holding Thumbs. Include in all bets.
- Triple Time is classy and capable of causing an upset in a very open race. This race is trickier than it appears - possible field leg in pick 6.
_Race 4_
- Clair De Lune is returning to form and can’t be ignored at 40-1.
- Elsinore had no luck last time out but will need to improve to feature here.
- Primal Instinct is smart and could pop up despite looking for further.
- Steadfast wears blinkers and has caught the eye of late. Wrong price at 20-1. Include in all bets.
- Una The Unicorn is classy but returning from an injury and long break. Include in Pick 6 as she’s extremely capable.
_Race 5_
- Absolutely Yes is back to a sprint - if he settles, he can run a big race at 40-1 (he’s the Langerman winner).
- Surjay (14-1) and Meu Capitano (33-1) offer value in an open race.
_Race 6_
- Great Plains is the one to beat if Andrew Fortune can slot him in from a wide gate. He will storm home!
- Powerandtheglory is well-weighted and in top form. Must include with Muzi Yeni up at his optimal riding weight.
- Royal Aussie possibly runs the last race of a great career - hoping for a fairytale ending but may struggle against this company.
- Scottish Kiss loves this trip and could surprise on best form. He’s doing smartly at home.
- Snow Pilot oozes class - if he puts it together, he wins.
- Gallic Dream looks a danger at 10-1.
_Race 7_
- Double Grand Slam is the best WFA filly in South Africa. If things go her way in the running of the race, she will be very hard to beat. Banker material.
- Gimme What I Want is better over shorter and has a wide draw to overcome. She’ll feature if the pace is sedate. Follow next time out back over a sprint trip.
_Race 8 – THE MET_
- Eight On Eighteen is the best WFA 2000m horse in SA. Prep has not been ideal, but he’s looking himself again and if he fires, they’re all in trouble. Do not exclude him out ANY bets - he is all class - champion!
- Legal Counsel is honest as they come but is probably best over a mile. Can outrun his betting odds if he settles in the race and doesn’t fight his rider Aldo Domeyer.
- Native Ruler can be forgiven for his last run. If ridden cold, he’ll stay on strongly. He’s a lively HWB Durban July prospect.
- Okavango will set the pace and is dangerous if left alone in front. He’s climbing the ranks and maturing into a smart sort.
- Sail The Seas is ultra-consistent at the highest level and primed for a big one. Perfect prep and deserves a big win.
- See It Again keeps improving in the Cape. On current form and over 2000m, he’s the one they all have to beat. A Met win for Andrew Fortune would be a pure fairytale.
_Race 9_
- Happy Verse is a seriously smart colt and a major Gr1 Cape Derby prospect. He will be hard to beat.
- Randolph Hearst is another talented 3-year-old, but possibly better over shorter with his main mission being the Big Race Cap. He’s been tested over this trip to see whether he’s a Derby prospect. He is a seriously good horse and cannot be ignored.
_Race 10_
- Be Merry should be included in exotic bets if you play wide, as she’s doing far better than her form would suggest.
- Goodnessgraciousme is nicely weighted and could sneak into the money.
- Pink Pigeon is in top form but this field is considerably tougher than last time out. Richard Fourie rides her the best so may be worth considering.
- Wild Applause is honest and well weighted. Each-way shout if Muzi gets her settled early.
- Princess Of Gaul looks the one to beat at 7-1.
_Race 11_
- Little Suzie will be settled early and should improve. Her last run can be ignored.
- Queen Regent has come to hand at the right time. Great draw and weight. Big runner and wrong price at 6-1 (solid each-way).
- Swiatek has the ability but stamina is the question. If the race is run slowly, she could easily win this feature.
_Race 12_
- Blind Date is in excellent form and will be right there again. He’s a model of consistency.
• ~Gran Canaria – withdrawn~
- In A Timely Manner has been aimed at this race for weeks, but has a shocking draw. With some luck he’ll fly home.
- Smarten Up was hopelessly wide last time out but still ran a huge race. Winning chance if covered early. Big runner.
- Yamazaki didn’t quite stay last time out and will be much better over a mile. Looks the one to beat.
_Race 1_
