Got a share in Promising Prospect in R 3, hoping for a much improved run around the turn again. She has had 2 shockers up the vaal straight 1200, 1600 but did not shape up the straight. Much improved run around the turn at Turffontein, hoping for similar again or even a photo......hehe

Good punting guys. She's been backed from 10/1 into 5/1 I see, so here's hoping.

Refuge in the 1st, if he has improved on the debut run, should win. The debut run was in open company and the horse was not fancied (8/1 out to 40/1), but ran a very creditable 2nd. The 3rd placed horse, Ronin Warrior, came out and won next time out. Unless there is an absolute hottie amongst the un-raced horses, Refuge should arrive.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

In the second (Ana P), I am just a little wary of the Tarry newbie, Purple Rose, who has a couple of fairly decent full brothers.

Remember reading an article a few months ago on sporting post..where a breeder said one of his good horses at the moment is called shinning Knight...I see a shinning Knight running today at 40/1..worth a small e/w bet
