Race naming
10 years 1 week ago
Does anybody else find the naming of maiden/lowly handicap races after feature races a bit confusing and off-putting.
Tomorrow at Kenilworth we have the "Langeman GR3 25 June Maiden Plate" and the "Winter Derby 25 June MR80 handicap"
I started looking for classy horses until I re-read the title...........lol
It's a relatively new thing (couple of years,I think)and is that the best way to advertise those races upcoming?

Last Saturday it caught me out. I really thought the Winter Derby was scheduled until I started to study the race

Some of the race names cause presenters problems
Especially when there is "paid" sponsored races and must be said as the sponsor requested
